At the playground

Maybe I am much bigger than Mateo but looking at these images ... I still have ways to go.

Friends from Providence

We had our first visitors from Providence: Mateo and his parents Veronica and Nicola. Well, I am small but he is even smaller than me ... can't sit by himself or crawl ... I can't believe I was this helpless just few months ago.

First days in our new place

In the beginning there was light (and nothing else in our new apartment). For a few days, until the movers came, we had only my stroller, a futon, few cups, wine and cheese. We lived minimalist life style and my mom was happy. We could have stayed in the hotel but my mom hated it because it was in the middle of nowhere and basically just a typical hotel.

And then the movers came, and our apartment was full … with boxes.

Missing Providence

As many of you already know, we moved to DC. Actually, we don’t live in DC but across the river in Virginia. My mom really wanted to live in DC (and definitely not in Virginia) but there were just too many coincidences that pointed to the other direction.
So my dad convinced her that Virginia (at this point) is the right place for us (btw, his office is in Arlington, VAJ). Our new apartment is still surrounded by the spirit of “Providence”. We live on the street that is off the “Providence Forest” and we found a gym (a few blocks away) that is called “Providence Recreation Center”!

We just couldn’t pass this place.
We are still home sick (home being Providence) and we miss (so much) all our friends! You have to come and visit us – all of you‼‼‼‼‼! This is a different world. So many shops, so many cars, so many people … really urban but actually mostly sub/urban life. We miss provincial Providence …
